Answer a customer with a useful template

Use a template as a starting point, then check the facts and make the answer fit this customer. A prepared answer is not a sent message.

Reviewed 25 October 2026 · Customers & service

Before you start

Open the correct conversation and check the customer and order. Make sure the intended communication channel is available.

A recognisable example

On the train, the DYMR owner chooses an order-update template for Noor, checks the current order and changes the wording before responding.

Step by step

  1. Open Conversations or the conversation attached to the customer. Read the latest question and any response already given.
  2. Choose an answer template where offered. Preview the rendered text, including substituted names, order details and any fields that still need attention.
  3. Adjust the answer to the actual situation. Do not repeat a delivery promise, refund or action that has not been confirmed.
  4. Review the destination and submit the reply through the available channel. Check the conversation afterwards to confirm what was recorded and whether sending has its own status.

What you should see

You have answered with context and consistent wording. A reply placed in a customer account is not automatically proof of an email delivered to the inbox.

If it does not work

The template does not fit or a value is missing? Edit the response or choose another template. After an uncertain send, inspect the conversation and delivery status before sending the same message again.

Menu names and available actions depend on your app language, permissions and connected shop. Screens show the real Daymerce interface with fictional DYMR data; original screen labels are preserved.
